With a BA in Organizational Behavior from Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, MN, he brings both education and experience to his dynamic role.

Known for his ability to find creative solutions, galvanize teams, and leverage an extensive network of industry connections, David has cultivated a career that marries strategic insight with practical action. His leadership philosophy centers on helping people succeed by encouraging them to use their God-given talents—a mission he approaches with enthusiasm and purpose.

David’s leadership impact is undeniable. A dedicated advocate for the construction industry, he has served as the National Chair of The Associated Builders and Contractors (2016) and chaired regional chapters multiple times, including the MN/ND and NE/SD chapters. Currently, he is the Chair-Elect of NCCER and is set to lead the Lincoln Independent Business Association (LIBA) as Chair in 2025. His commitment to service extends beyond the industry, contributing to search committees, school boards, and as a school treasurer.

With decades of experience, David has successfully managed large-scale projects with electrical budgets as high as $16 million. His knack for finding solutions and motivating people to excel continues to be the cornerstone of his success.

Inspired by business wisdom, David finds guidance in books like The Advantage by Patrick Lencioni, Traction by Gino Wickman, and Mastering the Rockefeller Habits by Verne Harnish. These works have shaped his understanding of leadership, strategy, and organizational health.

Outside of work, David is a devoted husband of 34 years, a blessed father of three, and a grandfather to one. A lover of reading, he constantly seeks to expand his horizons, blending personal and professional growth with a deep commitment to his faith and family.

Justin serves as the Executive Vice President at Willmar Electric Service, bringing a wealth of expertise and leadership to the role. A native of Willmar, Minnesota, Justin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Bethel University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.

As a licensed Professional Engineer in 21 states and an Electrical Contractor in Minnesota, Nebraska, and Oklahoma, Justin has built a career rooted in technical excellence and a commitment to serving others. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he has dedicated significant time to leadership roles outside the workplace, serving on a local Christian school board, the Construction Management Advisory Committee at Minnesota State University – Mankato, the Living Hope church Elder Board, and the Associated Builders and Contractors Chapter President search committee.

Beyond his career, Justin prioritizes his family and faith. After spending 18 months living in Texas, his family continues to return each summer to attend a favorite family camp. Whether playing pickleball together or volunteering through their church, Justin invests his time in experiences that foster connection and community.

With a passion for helping others and a strong commitment to community, Steve is the Vice President of Operations at Willmar Electric Service, where he leads with over 20 years of experience and a deep dedication to quality and service. A proud veteran, Steve served in the U.S. Army for 20 years and is a graduate of the prestigious United States Army Sergeants Major Academy Class 33. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Science and an MBA with an emphasis in Quality Management, both from Upper Iowa University.

Throughout his career, Steve has earned multiple certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP) and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. His commitment to excellence is evident not only in his professional achievements but also in his active involvement in the community, having received the MILO Award from the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce for his volunteerism and contributions.

An avid bird watcher with over 600 species observed, Steve also dedicates time as a volunteer with Rice Hospice and the American Legion Honor Guard. He has served on several boards and committees, including the Willmar City Council, the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce (where he will serve as Chair in 2024), and the Willmar Veterans Central Council, among others.

Steve enjoys mentoring the next generation of project managers and fostering a culture of growth and excellence within the company. His leadership is grounded in a clear goal: to be a productive member of their community and to help others succeed.

Justin Erickson is an experienced Project Manager at Willmar Electric Service, with a strong background in electrical construction and project leadership. Originally from Lamberton, MN, Justin holds an Associate of Arts degree from Bethel College of Adult and Professional Studies.

He is a licensed electrician in Minnesota, Nebraska, and Oklahoma, with expertise in managing large-scale electrical projects.

With a proven track record in construction electrical management and a focus on lean construction practices, Justin is known for his mechanical aptitude and ability to lead teams toward success. He is dedicated to helping others improve and grow in their professional skills.

Outside of work, Justin enjoys working on renovation projects, fishing, hunting, and volunteering at his local church. His diverse skill set and passion for both work and community make him a valued leader in his field.

From Snyder, OK, Drew is a dedicated Project Manager at Willmar Electric Service, where he has honed his skills through a four-year apprentice program in partnership with Willmar Electric.

Upon completion of the Apprenticeship, he obtained an Electrical Journeyman License, a Licensed Electrical Contractor certification in Oklahoma, as well as both OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Certifications. He is proud to have completed Purdue University’s Construction Manager Course.

Outside of work, Drew values spending time with his family, whether that’s enjoying SXS trails or just being together.

Drew is passionate about contributing to his community and the electrical trade, and has served on various committees and boards, such as the Snyder School Board and the Great Plains Technology Center Electrical Advisory Committee in Lawton, OK.

At work, Drew is driven by helping others grow in their careers and believes in fostering a collaborative environment, where everyone works together as a team and family.

With over 10 years of experience in the electrical contracting industry, Caleb currently serves as a Project Manager for the Central Region at Willmar Electric. Throughout his career, he has held key roles in the prefab shop, as a Project Engineer, and as a Project Manager, demonstrating versatility and a strong understanding of all stages of project development.

A proud Lincoln, Nebraska native, Caleb graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He is driven by a passion for hands-on work and a commitment to delivering projects with precision and excellence.

Accomplishments include certifications from the ABC Purdue Project Management Institute, OSHA 30, and an ABC Excellence in Construction Award, underscoring his dedication to professional growth and high standards in safety and quality.

In addition to his professional achievements, Caleb is focused on personal growth with goals to enhance his communication skills and build stronger relationships, both personally and professionally. His overarching ambition is to be a leader who is trusted, respected, and capable of inspiring and guiding teams toward success.

Outside of work, Caleb enjoys spending time with his wife and child. He also finds relaxation through home improvement projects and vehicle restoration work. Known for his strong work ethic and attention to detail, Caleb is committed to ensuring every project is completed to the highest standard—both individually and as part of a team.

Anne is the Accounting Manager at Willmar Electric, overseeing the accounting staff in the Lincoln, NE, and Willmar, MN offices. She graduated with a BS in Accounting from Bethel University in Arden Hills, MN, in 2017. Anne brings six years of audit and accounting experience to the team from her previous role as an auditor at U.S. Bank. She is also part of the fifth generation to work at Willmar Electric! Growing up around the company has given her a deep understanding of the importance of the family business, and she feels privileged to be part of the next generation.

In her role as Accounting Manager, Anne oversees the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll teams. Anything from cash management and bank reconciliation to paying taxes and producing financial statements falls under her responsibility. She enjoys working alongside the team to manage and produce accurate, detailed accounting information for the company. Anne’s attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to learning help her thrive in her role.

Anne is married to her husband, Jon, and together they stay busy with their 4-year-old daughter. She spends most of her free time playing in whatever pretend world her daughter has imagined that day. When she’s not doing that, you can find her practicing calligraphy, reading a mystery novel, or attending a church event.

Trista began her career at Willmar Electric Service in August of 2004. Her tenure has seen her grow within the company to her current position as Director of Human Resources. During her time at Willmar Electric, Trista has had the opportunity to witness and support the growth of both the company and her co-workers, helping them reach their professional and personal goals. She’s had the privilege of celebrating co-worker retirements and applauding apprentices as they pass their journeyman’s exams.

In her role as Director of Human Resources, Trista oversees recruiting, onboarding, benefits, training and development, and employee relations. She works alongside a dedicated team to help establish and implement the goals and vision of both Willmar Electric Service and the Human Resources Department.

Trista and her husband, Dan, have three boys. In her free time, you can find her at the hockey rink, on the golf course, or relaxing at the lake.
