Elgin Public Schools

The Performing Arts Center in Elgin, Oklahoma is a 29,000 square foot space that includes a lobby, an auditorium with a stage and interior lighting, and has a large seating capacity. The addition is connected to the existing high school.

Willmar Electric was awarded the project for the electrical installation of the Performing Arts Center, as well as, safe room additions to the middle school and high school.  The safe room additions are part of a larger FEMA initiative to provide school districts with funds to ensure the safety of students and faculty during severe weather such as a tornado.  We were able to complete all portions of the project without disruption to the activity and routing of the schools.

Willmar Electric managed and performed all aspects of the new building’s electric installation. This included lighting, power, fire alarm, access control raceways, data/com raceways, audio/visual raceways, theatrical lighting raceways, and inverter power.

We are honored to have received an Eagle Award – Excellence in Construction, for this project from ABC MN/SD – Electrical Commercial Division 2020.
