I needed to write a blog for the week. I didn’t have any ideas about life lessons to write about, so I was at a loss for what to do. Recently my wife and I hiked Camelback Mountain in Phoenix. So, I decided to check out what all the rage was about at ChatGPT.

So, I went to the ChatGPT site and typed in, “write a blog about climbing the Cholla trail of Camelback Mountain with your wife.”

Ten seconds later, I received this.

Certainly! Here’s a blog about climbing the Cholla trail of Camelback Mountain with your wife:

Camelback Mountain is a popular hiking spot in Phoenix, Arizona, known for its challenging trails and stunning views. The Cholla Trail is one of the two main routes to the summit, and my wife and I recently had the opportunity to climb it together.

The Cholla Trail is less steep than the Echo Canyon trail, but it’s longer, with a total distance of 1.42 miles. The trailhead starts in a residential area and is marked by a sign, so it can be easy to miss if you’re not paying attention. The trail begins with a relatively easy climb, but it quickly becomes steeper and more challenging.

The second half of the hike is particularly strenuous, with large boulders and steep inclines. There are also some sections where you need to scramble over rocks and use your hands to climb. But the effort is worth it once you reach the summit.

Climbing the Cholla Trail with my wife was an unforgettable experience. We encouraged each other during the challenging parts of the hike and celebrated together once we reached the top. The view from the summit was breathtaking, and we felt a great sense of accomplishment.

It’s important to note that the Cholla Trail can be less crowded than the Echo Canyon Trail, but it still requires proper preparation. Make sure to bring plenty of water, wear proper hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before you go. And, of course, it’s always a good idea to hike with a partner or group for added safety and support.

Overall, climbing the Cholla Trail of Camelback Mountain with my wife was a rewarding and memorable experience. We pushed ourselves physically and mentally and strengthened our relationship through teamwork and mutual encouragement. If you’re looking for a challenging and rewarding hike, the Cholla Trail is definitely worth considering.

Wow. The robot at ChatGPT got it right. I would love to know if you think it is better than the typical Dave Chapin-written blog.

I would also love to know if you find it thrilling to think the world is going to be a better place because we can use robots to write for us. I read in the Wall Street Journal over the weekend several traditional publications, including Men’s Journal and Sports Illustrated, use ChatGPT to write articles.

Or maybe you find it scary. I have heard colleges are scrambling to find ways to make sure students are still writing their own papers. Apparently, some have resorted to making students turn in handwritten papers.

With any new technology, we all need to be careful. It always has the power to be used for either good or bad. Sounds like the plot of several movies.

If I find the time someday, I will go to the site and have it write a screenplay about a young couple that climbs Camelback.
