Lied Place

Willmar Electric was honored to receive the Project Excellence award in the Specialty Contractor category for the Lied Place Project in Lincoln, NE, as well as to have two of our team members speak at the session on Leveraging Procore for Lean Project Practices.

The Lied Place Condominium is a 22-story tower constructed in the heart of Lincoln, Nebraska. The General Contractor was Hausmann Construction, and the tower is the 2nd highest building in Lincoln, measuring 253’ tall. The project was a Design/Build negotiated project for Willmar Electric with a value of $2,687,700 and 26,000 labor hours. The scope of work included all standard power, emergency power, lighting, fire alarm, area of refuge, and lightning protection. Willmar Electric also installed raceways for data/communications and the access control System. There are two electrical services to the building with a combined 47 electrical meters that serve seven levels of commercial space housing a law firm, restaurant, and real estate development company, as well as 15 levels of condominiums that feature 37 different housing units.
